Bible Unlock

Privacy policy

Updated 14 September 2026

KREYD LABS LTD provides Bible Unlock and is responsible for its use of personal information. Contact support@kreydlabs.com for privacy questions or requests.

Information that stays on your device

Bible Unlock stores your name and onboarding answers, optional Christian tradition, Bible and reading preferences, reading history, notes, favourites, reminder settings and app-protection settings locally. The app does not upload these records. Apple’s Screen Time app selections are opaque tokens stored on your device. Widgets use a local shared container for a limited display snapshot, such as the selected verse and completed reading days.

Local app records and downloaded narration are excluded from device backup. There is no Bible Unlock login, reading account or cloud reading sync. You can clear these records using Settings → Reset local data. This action does not cancel or erase Apple subscription records.

Subscriptions

Apple processes payment. Bible Unlock does not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat validates and restores subscriptions using an anonymous app identifier, purchase history and technical information. We do not send RevenueCat your name, email, religious preferences, notes or advertising identifier. Purchase information supports app access, restoration and subscription analytics.

Audio delivery and technical logs

To obtain private narration, the app sends an Apple-signed purchase proof and the requested recording path to our audio service hosted by Vercel. The service verifies current subscription access with Apple and supplies a short-lived link for that recording. The handler does not log the proof or keep a customer database.

Vercel retains operational request information, including request time, endpoint, status, user agent, network-routing and execution information, to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. This is separate from your locally stored reading history. Network providers process IP addresses to deliver requests. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Website launch waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we collect your first name, email address, phone choice, signup date and the permission you gave us. With your consent, we use these details only to tell you when Bible Unlock is available for your phone. Joining does not create an app account or subscribe you to general marketing.

Waitlist records are held in private storage with our hosting provider, Vercel. We retain them until the relevant launch notification is sent, then delete them within 30 days, or delete them after 12 months if we have not notified you. You can withdraw consent or request deletion at any time by emailing support@kreydlabs.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing before you withdrew.

Our website uses brief request limits and a hidden form field to reduce automated signups. We do not add IP addresses to waitlist records. Vercel processes network and operational information to deliver and protect the website as described above.

Support and your choices

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include. Diagnostics in the app are optional: you can inspect them before choosing a destination in Apple’s share sheet. We use support correspondence to respond to you and investigate the issue.

Reading reminders are local notifications. You can turn them off in the app or iPhone Settings. Photos access is requested only when you choose to save an image. Screen Time protection is optional and its permission can be revoked in iPhone Settings.

Retention, rights and service providers

Local data remains until you clear it or remove the app. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records under their service and legal obligations. Our current Vercel Pro runtime logs are retained for one day; no external log drain or Observability Plus add-on is configured. Hosting providers may separately retain security and legal records under their own policies. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and meet legal obligations. A local reset cannot erase records held by these providers.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of personal information we hold, or object to certain processing. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify it without collecting unnecessary information. You can also contact your local data-protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

We use providers that may process information outside your country under their applicable data-protection arrangements. Read Apple’s privacy policy, RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Vercel’s privacy policy.

No advertising tracking

The native app contains no advertising or tracking SDK and does not request Apple’s advertising identifier. The website uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate visitor and page-view statistics and counts of waitlist opens and successful submissions. These events do not include your name, email, phone choice or form contents. We remove URL query strings and fragments from analytics events. Vercel processes page paths, referral information, approximate location, device and browser information. It does not use advertising cookies; its visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours. Aggregate reports are available to us for 12 months. See Vercel’s analytics privacy information. The launch waitlist is optional.

We may update this policy when our practices change. This policy covers the Bible Unlock website, launch waitlist and native iPhone app.
